Happy 2016 everyone. For the past couple of weeks all around the world everyone slowed down for the gathering of family and friends. Although I work almost everyday and at least think about something to do with work everyday even I slowed down to enjoy the food and relationships that keep me going throughout the year.
I do believe that our most important resource we have is our time. We can all make more money or buy more things but we cannot make more time or buy more time. Remember that.
I once knew a well respected man right here in Panama City. He was elderly and sick and he didn't have too much time left before he passed. I was visiting with him one day and he reminded me that he never once has thought about how he should have spent more time working. He did point out he regretted not spending more time with family and friends.
It is important to work hard and to accomplish our goals in life. Helping those who have violated their probation or gotten a DUI or have a substance abuse problem and been arrested for possession of controlled substances is something I enjoy doing and have worked extremely hard at. However, this year I believe one of my resolutions will be to take part in and be present for those who I call family and friends. I hope you all do the same and remember Jail Stinks!
