Have you noticed everyone going in different directions, always busy, always doing their own thing. This happens in our own lives with our children having school, baseball practices, karate and us going to work, lunch meetings, etc. We really have to make a conscious effort to not let distractions pull us apart and to stay in touch with the people in our life. You have to draw a line in the sand and say that you are going to slow down and live in the moment and connect with the people you love. Don't take your relationships for granted! I know I have done this in the past (in fact the recent past!) There are so many things I would like to say to someone I took for granted but once that time has passed you can never re-capture it. However, what I have started doing is taking the time each day to reach out to a friend or family member to call and just to say hey and to catch up with what is going on in their life. Make time to have dinner with your family, support your friends in their activities and love your spouse or significant other as much as you can each day. Don't take take the relationships you have in life for granted for one day they may be all gone.
