Today I wanted to talk about grit. Do you know what that is? Grit is defined as: The assertion and application of will to fulfill the commitment you set out to do. Think about something that is really hard for you to do. Maybe it's getting up in the morning to get to work or getting to the gym everyday to workout. You must have the will the want to do these things. When you consistently do what you set out to then you have grit. Things in life do not come easy. I once heard that life is hard but if you work hard life is easy. Have you been wanting to do something but just can't seem to get the will to do it. Write it down on a piece of paper, tell a loved one or a friend what you are going to do, and hold yourself accountable for that goal. If you will take little baby steps towards that goal next thing you know you have momentum and will be running towards it. That is grit! When you want something more than you want to sleep then there is nothing in this world that can stop you. So let's all pick something out today, write it down and tell someone that you are going to do it and take that first step to doing it. What do you have to loose?
