We live in a great time when it comes to entertainment. Through our television we can now stream entire series from beginning to end. To be able to do this is sort of a time machine for us to use.
I took a ride on this time machine recently and I began watching a TV show that originally aired when I was a young boy. At the time, I never gave it a chance. I was confident I wouldn't enjoy the show, without watching a second of it.
Well, I recently watched the 1st episode with my son. Five minutes into the episode we were laughing and having fun. I knew we would enjoy watching more episodes of the show together. This experience, as simple as it was, made me think: What else was I missing? I was very confident for years that this show was not for me. Then when I gave it a chance, I truly enjoyed it.
I started to think about other activities and experiences that I've decided were not for me without giving them a shot. When it comes to life experiences, there is no time machine. Be careful about what experiences you pass by, you may never know what you are missing.
